How Theo Edge works

Theo's four engines analyse the same company from different angles and then synthesise their findings into a single Expectation Edge Score (0–100). A high score means reality is outpacing the market's embedded requirements — a potential opportunity. A low score means the bar is set higher than the business can currently clear.

Reality Engine

Scores business quality across growth, profitability, cash-flow quality, and capital management.

Expectations Engine

Reverse-engineers what revenue, margin, and returns the current price is implicitly demanding.

Catalyst Engine

Weighs near-term signals — insider trades, analyst moves, earnings track record — that shift probabilities.

Probability Engine

Synthesises all three to estimate the chance the business beats what the market is pricing in.

Momentum Backtest

Simulates a composite price momentum signal: 12-1 month (50%), 6-1 month (30%), and 3-1 month (20%) returns, blended and filtered by a trend-quality score that moves to cash when price action is too choppy. The “skip-1-month” convention avoids the short-term reversal effect documented in academic research. Starting capital: $10,000. Not investment advice.
